The Challenge

For a 24-story residential building in Manhattan’s Financial District, 1 Park Row needed an entry and security system that worked simply for residents and staff. The setup required an effective door and elevator access, clear security camera coverage, and custom safety controls for private fireplaces in select units.

The Solution & Scope of Work

Vertex Security installed a cloud-managed security and entry system across all 24 floors:

• ButterflyMX Access & Elevator Integration: Put in 2 video entry panels and 5 keypad door readers connected to a central control station. The system connects directly to 3 building elevators, letting residents manage visitor entry and call elevators right from their phones.

• Hanwha IP Camera System: Set up 11 Hanwha IP cameras across main entry points and shared spaces, offering on-site recording for management and mobile app viewing.

• Fireplace Emergency Shutoff Controls: Connected dedicated safety controls for private outdoor fireplaces in select apartments, including an emergency shutoff button inside the unit and an automatic safety overwrite.
