Vertex Security delivered a fully integrated security and building technology infrastructure across this large-scale student housing tower, covering access control, surveillance, intercom, and building-wide voice and data connectivity.
Intercom
– ButterflyMX IP video intercom system installed at the building entrance, providing residents with mobile-based visitor management and video verification
Access Control
– Salto cloud-based access control system with 80 Salto smart locks on all apartment doors and 10 card readers controlling access across all common areas and amenity spaces
– 2 magnetic locks and 4 request-to-exit motion sensors installed for enhanced perimeter access management
CCTV
– 51 IP dome cameras with night vision providing comprehensive coverage across all floors, common areas, and entry points
– 2 dedicated elevator cameras ensuring full in-cab visibility
– Dual NVR units with a combined 16TB of storage for extended footage retention
Voice & Data
– 320 termination points installed throughout all apartments and common areas, connecting individual unit WiFi to the building’s communication closets for reliable, building-wide network infrastructure
